		<description>Hate to bring this up, but the &quot;single&quot; distinction is applied to Scotch whiskies that are bottled from a single distillery. They are unlike blended whiskies such as Johnny Walker, which are made from whiskies from multiple distilleries.

All Scotch whisky, by definition, is made from one grain (barley).

Malting is the process by which barley is allowed to germinate and is then kiln-dried. Why do they need to do this? Because malting allows the barley&#039;s sugars to come out so they can be converted to alcohol in the brewing process.</description>
